Meanwhile, because the forestry building is flooded, the worker for that building will automatically de-slot and find work elsewhere. When the drought ends, the trees will not be harmed by the water and will continue to grow. Place a forester in the riverbed and have them plant maples. If you have a river bed that frequently drains of water in drought, you can use that land to grow more lumber. Trees take a long time to grow, especially premium maple. Now you have an underwater farm to supplement your food stores or feed your Ironteeth babies. This ensures the gathers have the same reach as the forester who planted the berries. Place two gatherers where the forester building used to be. Once the forester is done, you can delete their building, as they will not be needed to replant the berries. This means that if you have blueberries growing underwater, you will be able to use flooded land itself as a food source.īuild a temporary forester and have them plant blueberries on land you plan to flood. Blueberries are unique in that they do not need to be replanted after every harvest, so there's no reason for you to replant them. The only determent is that you can't plant new crops on flooded land. Flooded crops still grow and beavers can still harvest them.
